Snow suffocates the ground,
shielding our eyes from spring —
but still, life persists
beneath the ice-forged armor.

I hear it — a murmur on the breeze.
I smell it — a promise of fragrance.
I see it — a sliver of vitality, green.

Beneath the cycle of decay —
spring waits, patiently —
arrested majesty.
